Senior Designer

We’re looking for a Senior Designer to join our freshly assembled creative studio. This is the role of multi-disciplinary maker. A detailed oriented systems thinker. And a craftsperson of the highest order. The ideal candidate will have a command of typography, color, shape, line, and composition. Ideally, they’ll also possess some motion skills and a working knowledge of film and photography. They will act as the keepers of our brand guidelines, ensuring quality and consistency through all the things we make – while also identifying appropriate places to veer. They’ll be strategic. They’ll be collaborative. Above all, they’ll make amazing work.

This role will ideally be based in Chicago, Illinois, but we are open to remote candidates. 

The Responsibilities

• Design projects of all shapes and sizes – packaging, logos, social, printed materials, campaign initiatives, etc.
• Look after the brand’s aesthetic wellbeing to ensure it shows up consistently and excellently.
• Think strategically.
• Work collaboratively and build relationships across departments.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

The Requirements

• A strong creative portfolio.
• A strong sense of curiosity.
• A strong desire to make great work.
• Software: Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Motion skills, like Adobe After Effects or the like, and some knowledge of 3D, a plus.
• Ideally, a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent.
