Responsibilities:

- Assist project leader or design engineer in selection of the components and the design details for inclusion in the project/ product design.

- Layout and design specific areas as assigned per the company procedures and standards.

- Designs general arrangements or base systems based on customer needs and requirements.

- Analyzes data to determine feasibility of product proposal.

-Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layout with detailed drawings and schematics.

- Reviews work order and procedural manuals to determine critical content.

- Calculates figures to convert design dimensions to resizing dimensions specified for subsequent production processes.

- assist in systems development as required. such as drafting standards, parts list systems, computer programming.

- Perform other work related tasks as required as assigned.

- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.

Facility Specific Responsibilities:

- NX software and AutoCAD for the design of steel structures.

- Creating designs used for the fabrication of drilling rigs for both Land and Offshore.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Minimum of two years of vocational school or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Experience within NX with experience in Expressions, Sketching, Inter Part References (IPR).

- Minimum of 8 years structural design drafting experience in designing drilling rigs.
