Summary of This Role

The Senior Software Engineer will act as a key innovator and contributor to the ultimate success of our integrated suite of products driving compelling value to our customers. The Senior Software Engineer will work on projects that incorporate a strong technology framework to engineer cutting edge solutions, focusing on the design and creation of new software as well as maintenance and improvement of existing software systems.

What Part Will You Play?

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Software Engineers in the team.
• Teach design, coding and testing principles and ensure coding standards are met.
• Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software to meet business requirements.
• Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications.
• Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
• Create implementation task list, estimate implementation tasks, conduct code reviews, write maintainable code, write unit and regression tests, review code changes and regularly demonstrate progress.
• Research, test, build, and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
• Address problems of systems integration, compatibility, scalability, availability and multiple platforms.
• Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
• Resolve problems with software and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
• Follow Agile development processes.
• Participate in the development of software user manuals and technical documentation.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field (advanced degree is a plus). Equivalent amount of work experience may be considered a substitute for the degree.
• 5+ years of practical development experience.
• Solid knowledge of OOP software concepts, design patterns, and best practices.
• Solid knowledge of database design concepts, scalable database design, scalable software design.
• Proficiency of working with document databases (such as Mongo DB).
• Prior experience and good understanding of cloud computing and software-as-a-service business model.
• Experience with the following tools/technologies: Javascript, Node, Angular, REST, JSON

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud, and Mobile Technology experience.
• Experience working as part of a global agile team.
• Strong background in building scalable, reliable and high-performance web applications.
