Senior developer

We are one of the key players in the Nordic region insurance field. Our IT unit takes care of insurance systems across the Baltics and Scandinavian countries. We are working with a broad scope of various in-house projects to keep our primary business growing. Furthermore, we consider ourselves Cloud citizens as our daily work revolves on top of cloud-based solutions. We keep constantly growing. That's why we are looking for an addition to our team. 

 
About the role  

In this role you will be a part of IT Industrial Risk Systems that develops systems for our underwriters and risk engineers within If Industrial. You will be a senior developer working with other experienced colleagues within a cross functional agile development team that delivers great value to our users every sprint. 

• We develop & support complex business solutions used by the most important companies in Nordics and thousands of clients globally. 

• Solving the “business need” is the most important goal for us (the team). We enjoy creating exceptional tools/solutions/software for business. Agile way of working and logical thinking are “tools” you will use daily. 

• As a senior developer, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating meetings, ensuring team deliverables, providing coaching, and fostering team progression.

About the team 

IT Industrial Risk Systems consists of four agile development teams. Each team consists of three to four developers and a quality assurance specialist that works together as a cross-functional agile team. The teams work in close collaboration with both product owners on the business side and architects to ensure that we deliver the right things in the right way.

You also have:  

• Solid educational background with a university degree in a relevant field 

• Minimum 5 years of experience in .NET software development 

• Knowledge of C# programming language and .NET Core / WPF / Entity Framework / MSSQL. 

• Basic understanding of planet Azure 

• Fluent English 

• High sense of responsibility and risk awareness 

• Team player spirit with a natural appetite for learning, challenging yourself and sharing knowledge 

• Experience in estimating development effort 

• High technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills 

• Knowledge of agile development methodologies like Scrum 
   

It is also beneficial if you have:  

• Azure DevOps release pipeline setup/management skills 

• Azure Certifications  

• Microservices Architecture knowledge 

• Scrum Master certification
