Could you be Insurity's next Senior Developer?
As a Senior Developer, you'll work on a multi-functional Agile development team supporting Insurity Analytics products. You will own development items end-to-end, participate in SDLC estimation and development processes, and provide mentorship to other team members. We are looking for a forward-thinking, motivated full-stack software developer who loves technology, is passionate about building quality software, learns from failures and wants to grow with the Insurity team.
What You'll Do
- Define, design, and implement technical solutions requiring a high degree of technical expertise
- Provide in-depth technical troubleshooting, defect investigation, remediation, and root-cause analysis of items
- Provide estimation and planning input for moderately complex projects/solutions/work items
- Provide peer-review of designs, code, and artifact delivery
- Work with QA to identify impact and assist with test case development and implement testing approaches as part of all solutions (including automation where appropriate)
- Develop technical documentation for software solutions for targeted audiences, which may include internal and external customers
- Create scripting for application configuration function in support of customer projects
- Prepare and present to all partners, including customers
- Follow existing Insurity standards for coding, documentation, and impact assessments
Who you Are
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with C#, TSQL and JavaScript, working with Web Services/Microservices, and working virtually, on a distributed team across multiple locations/time zones
- Proficient in object oriented and SOLID principles, C# / .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, JQuery, HTML, JS, CSS, MSS / TSQL, SOAP, WebAPI / REST, and JSON API
- Strong written and oral English communication skills with an ability to facilitate meetings, present information to a variety of audiences and explain complex/technical items in simple terms
- Business knowledge of P&C insurance industry is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 25% (travel is minimal)
Where: This role can be performed either remotely or based in our Hartford, CT office.
