Join us as a Senior Developer within our Alternative Investment Srvc. Systems team!

Role & Responsibilities:

We have a strong Development team building 3 applications in support of BBH's Alternative Investment Fund business. We are looking to bring onboard 2 BBH senior team members to provide design guidance, coding expertise, and US time zone level 3 support. These individuals will work closely with our business partners in Boston, Luxembourg and Krakow, as well as across the shared systems teams at BBH to coordinate development, connectivity and deployment of the 3 applications.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Core Java development and Web applications with Spring and Angular Participate with requirements analysis, suggest ideas and solutions
  • Take over responsibility for feature development, drive process solely
  • Take over responsibility for deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes
  • Debugging and existing application support
  • Conduct peer-reviews of functional design documentation
  • Production Support: Assists in troubleshooting production environment and tune the environments
  • Working in distributed teams with using Agile Frameworks (Kanban, Scrum)
  • Understanding of SDLC processes and underlying technical requirements to meet the criteria

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science/engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
  • Expertise in Java (8+)
  • Expertise in Spring Framework
  • Good understanding of data modeling
  • Good knowledge of JPA/Hibernate
  • Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL
  • Good knowledge of linux commands and scripting
  • Industry experience (asset servicing) can be helpful, but not required

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Angular 7+
  • Familiar with tools such as GIT, Maven, JIRA, Confluence
  • Knowledge of second JVM related language (like Scala)
