The Senior Developer, BI Reporting will have primary responsibility for leading various analysis and programming initiatives in Cornerstone Research's IT applications development department, utilizing a high degree of knowledge in the overall field of business analysis and financial reporting.

How You'll Help Our Team Succeed
- Develop visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.
- Hands on experience in creating and deploying Power BI reports, analytic, and dashboard solutions including design, development, deployment, data engineering, and data management projects and practices.
- Implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
- Act as Power BI administration, manage and troubleshoot premium capacity environment.
- Work with the Finance department and IT Reporting Team in developing Cornerstone's reporting strategy to determine scalable and appropriate solutions for the variety of financial reporting requests.
- Design and implement business intelligence solutions to support the decision makers and users of the data by utilizing, but not limited to, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Power BI
- Create, compile, and prepare management reports, graphs, and charts, including highly complex internally developed custom reports utilizing TSQL, Excel, Access, VBA, SSRS and Power BI
- Maintain and improve reporting data infrastructure which contains data compiled from Aderant Expert, Host Analytics, UltiPro, Legal Key, and other source systems. This includes troubleshooting issues and anomalies in system data, data validation, and maintaining system continuity.
- Participate in month-end accounting system close, and reporting.
- Maintain data integration between systems, creating automated data feeds, and structuring data for use by the data warehouse.
What You'll Need to Be Successful
- 8+ years of experience that demonstrates increasing capability and responsibility; professional services experience preferred.
- 8+ years of experience with SQL and T-SQL programming.
- 8+ years of experience working with SSRS reports.
- 7+ years of experience working with and translating company financial data into executive-level reports and KPIs.
- 5+ years of experience working with Aderant databases, including SQL Server 2012/2016/2019, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS, and other hands-on financial systems experience.
- 3+ Years expert level experience with Power BI Development and administration.
- Hands on experience in creating and deploying Power BI reports, analytics, and dashboard solutions including design, development, deployment, data engineering, and data management projects and practices.

- Thorough understanding of complex data models for Financial and related business systems along with underlying associated processes.
- Strong understanding of relational database structures, advanced data concepts, theories, principles, and practices.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience preferred.

For Los Angeles Candidates Only: Cornerstone Research is offering a competitive market base salary for this position between $130,100 and $162,000. A job offer will depend on how closely a candidate's skills, experience and education match the requirements for the role. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes annual performance bonus and generous benefits.
