Job Description
ShopNation, Inc. has an opening for a Senior Developer - Level 1 in New York, NY.
The position duties are as follows: Senior-level front-end developer role, responsible for collaborating with product owners, project managers, QA testers and other software engineers to create new, engaging and useful audience experiences. Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, build prototypes, and deliver world-class products and features. Daily duties will include:

• Assess the needs of other development teams and craft software solutions that can be implemented, extended, and referenced as examples;
• Review code submissions from other teams with an eye towards maintaining a high-quality shared codebase;
• Research new technologies to solve problems and improve existing systems; and
• Participate in conversations about design and architecture of our web platform.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, a closely related technical field or foreign equivalent, followed by at least 4 years of progressively responsible experience in a front-end web development position. Experience must include:

• 4 years of experience with HTML, CSS and Javascript
• 4 years of experience working with a component-based front-end framework, including one with a server-side templating aspect (e.g., Apache Tiles, Vue+Nuxt, React+Next) or at least one server-side templating language (e.g., JSP, FTL, Handlebars, ERB)
• 4 years of experience with at least one server-side MVC framework (e.g., Spring, Django, Rails, Express)

Pay Range
Salary: $155,500 - $186,600
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
