What we are looking for

A strong DevOps Software Engineer with a strong background on IT processes and procedures and understand SLA and impact of service disruptions. Use their development skills in Python and Observability to design and implement resilient Observability solutions to automate our operations throughout the product development lifecycle.

Must be a resident of the United States or Canada.

What you will be doing

• Hands on experience with observability tools like New Relic Datadog, ELK, Kubernetes, Terraform and cloud is a must.
• Improve monitoring for our AWS and Azure platforms and reduce or SLO/SLA.
• Having used any of the following observability tools and solutions Datadog, New Relic, ELK, etc.
• Reduce MTTA/MTTR.
• Demonstration hands on expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform and cloud (preferably Azure & AWS).
• Programming & analytical skills. Creative ways to problem solving (technical/non-technical).
• Influence your peers, your stakeholders to design a top-notch solution for every problem space you put your hands on.
• SaaS application monitoring services Elasticsearch, Kibana, Kafka, Prometheus, Datadog, and New Relic.
• Understanding of Observability pillars Metrics, Traces and Logging.
• Knowledge of Configuration Management Tools like Exposure to cloud monitoring tools such as Azure monitor, Cloud watch.
• Knowledge of CI/CD environment using Github/Jenkins.

What you need to be successful

• BS/BE/B-Tech or MCA/MS/ME/M-Tech degree in Computers/IT/ Electrical Engineering/Electronics.
• Role requires frequent co-ordination with globally dispersed team (USA, India and UK).
• Experience with SaaS administration on Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs.
• Excellent development skills using Python, JAVA, shell.
• Familiarity with SRE metrics and monitoring and observability tools.
• Experience working in a CI/CD environment using Github/Jenkins.
• Hands on experience with Docker needed.
• Experience with container orchestration platforms Kubernetes, Azure, AKS.
• Strong communication skills/Excellent English.
