Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer that is excited about problem-solving and creating robust software solutions with a strong personal desire to succeed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and deliver robust tooling solutions that drive software development
• Drive container adoption and build our container ecosystem from scratch
• Drive cloud adoption and architect cloud solutions
• Manage our SAAS application infrastructure
• Propose new solutions to improve our processes
• Manage application and database monitoring
• Implement and manage development CI/CD pipeline
• Provide implementation estimates
• Mentor team members on best practices and processes
• Ensure systems meet a high standard of quality
• Exceed industry standards

Required Experience

• 10 years of combined industry experience
• 5 years of experience managing applications and servers
• 5 years of experience integrating and automating applications
• 5 years of experience software development or supporting development

Required Technical Skills

• Experience writing shell scripts, preferably PowerShell
• Hands-on experience with
• CI / CD Pipeline
• Application Monitoring
• Source Control Management
• Experience consuming APIs
• Experience with build systems such Jenkins, Bambo, or Azure Pipelines
• Understanding of basic security principles
• Experience working with containers
• General ops competencies
• Windows Server
• IIS - Creating websites
• Firewalls
• SQL server - configuration, backups, jobs and SQL agent

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Strong PowerShell Competency
• Experience creating container images and managing container application resiliency
• Experience with government regulation such as GDPR, SOX, PCI, HIPPA or FISMA
• NuGet package management
• Azure Cloud
• Service bus architecture
