About the Role
As a Systems Engineer, you will be working with colleagues from Elsevier's Technology organization. Working collaboratively, you'll be delivering shared solutions for infrastructure operations across our products and services. You will assist in the design, build and maintenance of application stacks for product teams working in this space.

About the Role
As a Systems Engineer, you will be working with colleagues from Elsevier's Technology organization. Working collaboratively, you'll be delivering shared solutions for infrastructure operations across our products and services. You will assist in the design, build and maintenance of application stacks for product teams working in this space.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining the right cloud infrastructure architecture, balancing performance and resilience with cost.
- Working within an Agile team, to help drive outcomes.
- Scoping of requirements and defining a delivery plan for infrastructure
- Adhering to architectural standards.
Requirements
- Expert level Linux administration skills.
- Ability to build and deploy code with Jenkins or similar tools, that allow for rapid release of high-quality software.
- Containers / Container Orchestration - Docker, Kubernetes, etc
- Configuration Management tools - Ansible, puppet or similar tools.
- Source Control Management - knowledge of GIT
- Monitoring / Logging - creating robust monitoring / logging capabilities for teams.at scale
