SUMMARY

MatrixCare is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for design and development of innovative cloud native platform solutions. This position reports to our Director of Developer Productivity and will work closely with engineering leadership and in coordination with the R&D group.

Our goal is to craft a reliable, scalable, and efficient engineering platform to support MatrixCare's Out of Hospital technical solutions including software development workflows and tools, CI/CD pipelines, cloud native service workflows, and developer productivity tools. Automation is a central engineering tenet to our approach in providing engineering teams with paved road solutions. To achieve this goal, we are looking for an engineer who has an understanding of automation, software development, great design skills and a track record in building and delivering software systems.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, optimize and deploy CI/CD pipelines for product delivery.
  • Build IaC scripts to support environment creation and create ansible playbooks to configure those environments.
  • Develop custom tools and automation through scripting.
  • Assist with curating and maintaining the DevOps backlog.
  • Assist teams with deployment and product troubleshooting.
  • Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the management team.

Experience:

  • A B.S. degree in CS, Math, Physics, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-9+ years' experience in some of the following:

    • Experience with one or more CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab, using YAML
    • Source Control Management tools (e.g. Git, Subversion, TFVC)
    • Experience with server configuration using Ansible playbooks
    • Experience with AWS and cloud cost management
    • Familiarity with network engineering and Linux/Windows system administration
    • Familiarity with containerized workloads (Kubernetes, Swarm, etc)
    • Experience with environment provisioning using Terraform
    • Scripting and automation with bash, PowerShell, etc.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. App Insights, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, etc)
  • Experience with structured databases (e.g. SQL Server, MongoDB, etc)

Education

• Bachelor's degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Employees accrue fifteen days Paid Time Off (PTO) in their first year of employment, receive 11 paid holidays plus 3 floating days and are eligible for 14 weeks of primary caregiver or two weeks of secondary caregiver leave when welcoming new family members. Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate's geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

Base Pay Range for this position:

$110,000.00 - $166,000.00

For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate's geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
