Job Description
Your role and responsibilities
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions through new and existing applications and tools. Besides working closely with your team of 3-4 developers, you will also work with other development teams at eVestment to help them use the tooling and to understand their needs for developing future tooling.
- Guide more junior developers in code reviews, task estimation, and design discussions.
- Design and monitor the automated tooling for deploying AWS infrastructure for new and existing microservices.
- Implement multi-cloud deployment solutions across both Azure cloud services and AWS using PowerShell scripts for new microservice template generation and Jenkins/Gitlab for CI/CD.
We expect you to have
- A degree qualified in a discipline related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years experience in cloud web development
- Experience or knowledge of DevOps CI/CD practices and tooling, such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or Gitlab
- Experience or knowledge of cloud technologies, AWS or Azure is preferred
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Terraform is preferred
- Experience using common software development tools and technologies, such as version control, etc.
It would be great if you have
- Experience in PowerShell scripting
- Experience or knowledge of container technologies, such as Docker
- Experience in one or more server-side programming languages, such as C#, Java, or similar
- Experience in one or more modern front-end JavaScript frameworks, such as Vue, Angular, React, or similar
- Experience or knowledge of microservices design & development including event-driven architecture
