Brinqa has an immediate need for a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer who will proactively work with Engineering, Product, Services and other functional departments to implement and operate our global customer-facing SaaS infrastructure. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who enjoys a fast-paced job and problem solving.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Automate deployment, monitoring and management, and incident response of the SaaS applications
Monitor site stability performance in addition to troubleshooting site issues
Manage the SaaS application infrastructure to meet growth and increasing demand
Collaborate with developers to upgrade newly released versions into production
Develop and operationalize practices and procedures as we grow
Manage all information security compliance as it relates to company security requirements
Manage the cloud release cycle
Build and maintain a resilient, secure, and efficient SaaS application platform to meet established SLAs
Scale infrastructure to meet rapidly increasing demand
Manage cross-functional requirements working with Engineering, Product Services and other departments
Collaborate with developers to bring new features and services into production
Develop and improve operational practices and procedures
Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance, such as ISO, SOX, SSAE 16, etc.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
BA/BS degree in Computer Science or similar work experience
10+ years of proven hands-on experience deploying and maintaining complex, custom, multi-tiered application systems in a complex, global, online operations group
At least 5 years of experience with Linux as a power user or administrator
Experience in 24x7 production operations, preferably supporting a highly available environment for a SaaS or cloud services provider
Experience with JAVA applications in a Tomcat environment strongly preferred
Experience with cloud infrastructure environments, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with containerization technology, such as Docker
Enhance the stability, scalability, monitoring, cost efficiency, and maintainability of the development and production infrastructure, using tools like Jenkins and Google Cloud Platform instances
Experience with provisioning and configuration management tools and technologies such as Ansible, GIT, Jira, Javascript, and others strongly preferred
Strong understanding of system and networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques
Strong interpersonal and teaming skills - ability to set and enforce process and influence engineers who are not direct reports
Ability to operate in an agile, entrepreneurial start-up environment
