Callibrity is based in Cincinnati, OH, Columbus, OH and Chicago, IL. This role may be virtual, remote-based but must work U.S. Eastern Time work hours. Will not consider non-US based candidates or Corp to Corp candidates.

The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for assisting with development, implementation, and ongoing support of an enterprise cloud environments. The DevOps Cloud Engineer supports and guides teams in designing, building, testing and deploying changes to existing software. They identify manual processes that can be automated and leverage cloud devops infrastructure and related tools to create and maintain different application environments. The DevOps Engineer may also consult with and train Software Developers on best practices and standards, onboard new applications onto DevOps platforms and collaborate with other stakeholders within the enterprise.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop cloud automation using technologies such as Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins.
- Design and Implement CI/CD pipelines.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives, gather automation requirements, design automated tests, troubleshoot issues, and implement scalable automation solutions.
- Grow knowledge to serve as a subject matter expert for automation, public cloud, or container technologies.
- Manage the automation, public cloud, or container technologies.
- Remain current on IT trends pertaining to their area of practice (e.g., Agile, DevOps, Cloud, Microservices, containers, Open Source community projects/developments).
- Assist with problem resolution for cloud management issues.
- Create and update operations procedures for daily routine management processes.
- Play a key role as an individual contributor on projects of a basic to moderate level of complexity.
- Manage Remedy queue of incidents, changes and service requests.
- Maintain appropriate controls and documentation to ensure compliance of audit requirements.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable experience
- At least 6+ years of progressive IT career experience, in Software Development and DevOps
- Prior hands-on experience in software development required (not prior experience in infrastructure)
- Experience with introducing and using CI/CD methodologies and tools for automated infrastructure code test, integration, deployment, and assurance
- Understanding of Platform as a Service (PaaS) and container technologies including OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and GitLab is required.
- Additional experience in Azure and GCP is a plus
- Proficiency in Python, Java and/or JSON
- Proficiency with Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and Terraform
- Strong problem-solving skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in the US without sponsorship
