Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary 
The Senior DevOps Engineer has expertise in the implementation and design of cloud platform systems, including infrastructure, networking, automation, methodology and process. You excel in a fast-paced and agile environment, juggling priorities to meet changing needs. You enjoy working with a variety of customers and building engaging relationships. You enjoy the opportunity to bring new technologies and processes to bear in a never-ending journey to generate customer delight. You need to build things that matter. 

What You’ll Do

• Provide mentoring to more junior developers, guiding them through the technical and operational aspects of managing change.  Lead by example.
• 60% of time spent in hands-on development, 40% time spent on architectural design, problem solving, experimentation and mentoring
• Evaluate, identify and implement new tools and processes that bring agility, stability, scale, and ease-of-use to our overall cloud platform
• Evaluate, identify and lobby management to remediate technical debt
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies for team, including daily stand, grooming, planning and retrospectives
• Collaborate with cross functional engineering partners to build new services
• Partner with corporate security team to provide secure and auditable environments for applications and services.

What We Need

• 8+ years of overall infrastructure engineering required
• 6+ years of cloud engineering experience required
• 4+ years of containerization experience with ECS/Docker is required
• Strong terraform skills and experience
• Demonstrated experience with DevOps in an agile environment
• Mastery of DevOps processes, including building, socializing, and evangelizing new tools/methods/processes.
• Expertise in standard cloud application/service architectures.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services and their application to engineering problems.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• AWS experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Powershell, Bash or VBScript language skills
