SUMMARY

ANSYS, Inc. seeks Senior DevOps Engineer to work in Canonsburg, PA and various unanticipated locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the DevOps activities of software products and supporting systems.
• Use advanced technical and problem-solving skills to help the team tackle complex issues, satisfy customer requirements, and accomplish development objectives.
• Collaborate with team members to brainstorm best techniques to resolve complex technological infrastructure, build or packaging problems.
• Perform moderately complex debugging and testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered.
• Build and package open-source third-party software packages.
• Maintain tools, infrastructure and build environment for product creation staff.
• Employ best practices and help to maintain them through technical reviews.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study, and three (3) years of experience in a related position.
• Alternate Acceptable Education and Work Experience Requirement: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in a related position.
• Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
  • two (2) years of experience with source code version control software, git;
  • two (2) years of experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or TeamCity;
  • experience in DevOps, Software Development, or Test Automation;
  • experience with Python, Perl or other scripting language;
  • experience building frameworks to automate tasks and procedures; and
  • experience with an object-oriented language such as C++.
