Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary: The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for applying skills in a dynamic work environment while developing well-rounded competencies in ISN’s products and services. The Senior DevOps Engineer is a DevOps and cloud engineering expert who helps administer Azure DevOps and various cloud resources on the Azure platform. As a member of ISN’s Product team, the Senior DevOps Engineer will assist the Technical Operations team, Architecture team, and Software Engineering teams with the provisioning and administration of Azure PaaS resources for ISNetworld.
1.0 Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Administer Microsoft Azure DevOps including creation and maintenance of repositories and pipelines
- Maintain, extend, and build automated CI/CD processes and code pipelines
- Monitor official builds and drive deployment and infrastructure issues to resolution
- Work with tools such as Azure DevOps, Azure Test labs, and Git to improve and speed up delivery of products and services
- Work closely with Software Engineering teams to configure and implement solutions, and troubleshoot issues with respect to source code branching/merging/pull request, along with code deployments
- Collaborate with developers and system administrators to oversee code releases
- Participate in release processes and contribute to tooling improvements
- Implement modern, industry standard DevOps toolchain functions
- Work with Technical Operations and Architecture teams to Provision, configure, and maintain Azure resources services including but not limited to, API Management, App Services, Service Bus, Storage accounts and Azure Services
- Proactively analyze and bring forth ideas for continuous improvement
- Embrace Agile Scrum principles to consistently deliver high quality work product
2.0 Requirements
2.1 Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited university
- DevOps and Azure certifications are a plus
2.2 Knowledge and Skills
- 5+ years of experience with DevOps / configuration management on Microsoft platforms
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure cloud engineering
- 2+ years of experience working with Azure DevOps
- 4+ years of experience managing, supporting, and configuring code pipelines
- 3+ years of experience managing and supporting builds
- 3+ years of experience with software development, preferably on Microsoft Technologies
- Hands-on experience with Azure PaaS, ARM templates, PowerShell scripts, and bash scripts
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps administration, including creating and managing repositories, source control management, and CI/CD implementation
- Strong experience with Configuration Management
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud platform and services
- Administration and configuration knowledge of Azure cloud resources including but not limited to API Management, App Services, Service Bus, Storage accounts, Application Insights, etc.
- Strong knowledge of ARM templates, Bicep, and PowerShell
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Containerization and Orchestration a plus
- Experience using and managing observability and monitoring tools supporting the operations and security health of services running in Azure
- Basic network knowledge is required – VNETs, subnets, NSGs
- Knowledge of C# or other development language is a plus
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Solid analytical and problem-solving ability

The Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is the fourth largest metropolitan area in the country, with a wide variety of excellent schools, entertainment venues, sports teams, and museums. ISN’s headquarters is in uptown Dallas, a short walk from multiple restaurants and shops, with easy access to public transportation and major highways.
Employees must be within a commutable distance to the Dallas, TX office and be willing to come into the office for required trainings, events, team activities, and meetings.Â
