In this role, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Infrastructure requirements, architecture, and design. You will play an important role in creating a scalable, robust, and secure cloud infrastructure. You will apply your technical ability to raise the team's operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Infrastructure-As-Code development
- Participate in the development, execution, and support of release management and operations
- Establish monitoring and health reporting for the advancement of self-healing principles
- Enhance/extend a configuration/deployment/monitoring framework in partnership with
- Production Engineering team
- Support multiple cloud environments on AWS and Heroku
- Interact with various teams to gather and define requirements and document architecture, specs, workflows, and capacity
- Deploy and manage a DevOps pipeline using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, GitOps Support service-oriented architecture (SOA), and microservices
- Work with databases such as DynamoDB and Postgres
Requirements
- 5+ years DevOps, Systems/Infrastructure, or related engineering experience
- Hands-on experience with Cloud AWS technologies (AWS, Heroku, etc.)
- Experience with capacity planning processes public cloud deployment models
- Experience in systems automation, virtualization, orchestration, deployment, and implementation
- Experience in scaling distributed data systems, deploying and managing software in production environment and container-based service deployment
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (i.e. Python, Bash, Perl, Java)
- Proficiency in Ansible, Chef, Terraform, or other configuration management and centralized configuration tools
- Demonstrated experience in networking, subnets, stateful firewalls, ports & protocols, IPTables, and CIDR notation
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline and Build tools such as Jenkins, GitOps, K8S, Pipeline, etc.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail; mission-critical production support experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience in working effectively in cross-functional teams
- Experience implementing Security Best Practices
- Experience with Datadog, and/or other enterprise tools like Sumologic, Splunk, Grafana, Zabbix, Kibana, etc.
- Mentor junior members of the team
- BS in Computer Science or related technical major, or commensurate experience
