Job Description

The Wolfe Companies, LLC is actively seeking a dedicated Senior DevOps Engineer to spearhead our tech endeavors, with a primary emphasis on our fulfillment center operations pertaining to gift card production. The successful candidate will fuse their technological prowess with a deep understanding of streamlining operational processes. Collaborating closely with our software developers and IT professionals, this role will be instrumental in enhancing the robustness of our applications and accelerating the delivery process.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Tailor and automate operations and processes specifically for our gift card production system within the fulfillment center. 
  • AWS Engineering to support cloud side of fulfillment process. 
  • Engage with software developers to conceptualize and sustain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations of this system. 
  • Uphold the apex standards of application availability, resilience, and scalability. 
  • Supervise the seamless deployment of updates and fixes, ensuring minimal service interruptions. 
  • Design and merge continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines tailored for the gift card system. 
  • Join forces cross-functionally to refine Wolfe LLC's engineering tools, infrastructure, and security procedures. 
  • Undertake rigorous system tests to validate security, performance, and availability standards. 
  • Compile and maintain comprehensive documentation related to design, troubleshooting, and processes for the gift card production system. 

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a pertinent field. 
  • Demonstrated experience as a DevOps Engineer or an analogous role, emphasizing production or manufacturing systems. 
  • Adeptness in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby. 
  • Mastery in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or comparable tools. 
  • Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes, including deploying Kubernetes manifests, scaling pods, and managing stateful workloads. 
  • Hands-on experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) automation tools, especially Terraform. 
  • Proficiency with MySQL databases, including knowledge of query optimization techniques.
