Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Position:

As the DevOps Engineer at Memorable, you will spearhead the optimization, automation, and enhancement of our infrastructure and deployment processes. Your role will be crucial in ensuring our systems' reliability, scalability, and security as we continue to grow and innovate. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, implement best practices, and drive efficiency across the organization. With your expertise in DevOps principles and practices, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical strategy and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable DevOps pipelines to automate the deployment, monitoring, and management of our applications and infrastructure. Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to optimize the performance, reliability, and security of our systems.
• Lead efforts to modernize and containerize existing applications and services using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD processes to ensure rapid and reliable delivery of code changes to production environments.
• Champion best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK to provision and manage cloud resources.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime and improve overall reliability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in DevOps and cloud computing, and recommend adopting new tools and practices where appropriate.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the DevOps team, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
• Collaborate with compliance and security teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices for data protection and privacy.

About You:

• Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure DevOps solutions in a cloud-based environment.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, and proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Passionate about automation and experienced with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Workflows, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in DevOps, site reliability engineering (SRE), or a similar role.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK or similar.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or similar.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments.
