This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer in Italy.
In this role, you will help build and optimize large-scale cloud infrastructure and development platforms designed for modern virtualization and AI-driven environments. You’ll work closely with engineering and architecture teams to improve automation, scalability, reliability, and deployment efficiency across complex systems. Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery speed, consistency, and reliability.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and OpenStack technologies.
- Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability solutions to ensure infrastructure health and operational visibility.
- Optimize build, testing, and deployment workflows to support high-performing engineering teams and large-scale repositories.
- Collaborate closely with developers and architects to ensure production readiness, scalability, and operational stability of applications and services.
- Contribute to infrastructure performance optimization, system security improvements, and cloud scalability initiatives.
- Support the delivery and maintenance of virtualization-focused Linux environments and infrastructure components.
- Participate in incident response processes, troubleshooting activities, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews.
- Continuously evaluate existing infrastructure practices and propose innovative improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Linux Development, or related technical roles.
- Strong expertise with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
- Solid understanding of Linux internals, networking concepts, and infrastructure security best practices.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Deep technical understanding of systems programming languages such as C, C++, Go, or Rust.
- Experience working with monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills in collaborative engineering environments.
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to challenge and improve existing infrastructure processes.
- Familiarity with GitOps methodologies, Linux system administration, or automated QA environments is considered a plus.
- Knowledge of Atlassian infrastructure and services is advantageous.
