Senior DevOps Engineer, Mobility

Our Toyota Connected Mobility team is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to create, maintain, support, and improve complex cloud operations for cutting edge microservice based platforms. Ideal candidates will apply their knowledge in a highly energized, fast-paced, and innovative environment while working on Toyota Connected products.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify performance improvements in areas like responsiveness, availability, and scale
• Manage, evolve, and build CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain, support, and build out infrastructure and services currently operating on AWS
• Creatively solve technical issues. You do not need to know everything, but you need to know how to find the solution
• Deliver solutions in a complex environment including distributed systems and applications
• Assist in building world-class, multi-cloud capable, state-of-the-art products by:
• Automating build processes
• Incorporating static code quality tools
• Helping identify code promotion qualities
• Utilizing and promoting the use of advanced deployment patterns like Canary and Blue/Green
• Building highly resilient cloud eco-systems capable of high availability and scale
• Deploying to public cloud providers like AWS
• Developing and maintaining applications that use Docker containers, Kubernetes as an orchestrator, or as full VMs with base images

Qualifications:

• 5 + years of production experience working as a Software Engineer or DevOps Engineer
• Public Cloud experience in AWS
• Strong experience in CI/CD with technologies such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar
• Strong experience with Linux and Bash scripting
• Production experience programming in Java, GoLang, or Python
• Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with scripting and orchestration with Terraform
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog, AppDynamics, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to apply systems thinking to understand interdependencies and design solutions
  that achieve results
• Demonstrates advanced problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
• We think the knowledge acquired earning an BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field would be of great value in this position, but if you're smart and have the experience that backs up your abilities, for us, talent trumps degree every time

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with Kubeflow
• Experience working with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineering Teams
