IBM Z Digital Integration Hub(zDIH) development team is responsible for developing a product that creates a flexible efficient information flow between critical mainframe Systems of Record and Cloud based applications. Our focus is to offer z/OS clients (a) insights based on real time information from Systems of Record for immediate business decisions (b) Improve system efficiency for handling Cloud native applications requests (c) Value for the customers in their modernisation Journey.

We are looking for qualified DevOps engineer candidates to be part of our IBM Z Systems team to automate the end-to-end CI/CD pipeline involving mainframe applications and cloud native applications .

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Lead DevOps Engineer you will play an essential role in integrating the project functions and resources across the product life cycle right from planning building testing and deployment to support. You will be responsible for DevOps lifecycle of IBM Z Digital Integration Hub automating end-to-end CI/CD pipeline. You need to conversant with all the technical as well as IT operations aspects for integrated operations and expected to know about the various automation tools which is required for process automation and testing. You will be responsible for monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimising the wastage. You would be expected to work closely with development and product management team with an end-to-end ownership of the CI/CD pipeline in managing delivery schedules and assure highest quality release for maximum customer satisfaction. Additionally you need to guide the IBM Z customer in their DevOps modernisation journey.

• Design and develop highly scalable reliable extensive and maintainable automated end-to-end CI/CD pipelines.
• Establish and implement best engineering practices such as architectural design unit and regression testing test-driven development and continuous integration frameworks.
• Work with the development and infrastructure team to ensure that all the required monitoring exception handling and fault tolerance is in place for a production quality of the product
• Identify and investigate emerging trends latest technologies and develop PoCs to develop/Enhance existing environment using various technologies & tools.
• Participate drive technical discussions with various stake holders.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 6 – 12 years of experience in software development using Java Golang and Python language.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience as DevOps engineer design and develop CI/CD pipeline with a strong focus on automation (tooling testing build & release).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Git Jenkins Artifactory Maven Gradle Travis..
• Good problem solving skills with ability to develop and debug CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience in Agile development environments.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Knowledge of Mainframe systems.
• Hands-on experience in developing or deploying micro-services and containerised applications.
• Good understand of Quality and continuous improvement activities.
• Experience with Automation/Configuration Management using either Puppet Chef or any equivalent/Open Source Tools.
• Experience working with databases such as Hazelcast Db2 MongoDB
