The National Systems Group serves as the technical adviser to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence, including electronics programs, advanced technologies, ground and communications, imagery programs, and systems engineering and launch.
Aerospace's Systems Engineering and Launch Division plays a key role in helping our customer with their transition to Digital Engineering. In support of this transition, Aerospace delivers recommendations regarding foundational Digital Engineering (DE) needs such as Model Based System Engineering modeling methodologies, configuration management, model quality assessments, DE infrastructure, Information Technology (IT) security, and training. One of the foundational elements to achieve this transition is the instantiation of a DE Ecosystem (DEE). We are seeking a Senior Digital Engineer to be the trusted advisor to the customer on the design, implementation, and sustainment of their DEE.
This position requires 100% on site work in Chantilly, VA
What You'll Be Doing

• Provide support to the Office of Digital Engineering (ODE) customers as well as DEE team members across the entire customer organization
• Leverage The Aerospace Corporation's expertise by providing engineering products and guidance in support of the organization's transition to DE
• Collaborate with government counterparts daily to provide guidance on design, implementation, and sustainment of the customer's DEE
• Identify tasks and lead teams on studies and analyses to be performed by Aerospace matrixed engineers; Act as the lead integrator role for products delivered to the customer

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate technical field
• Minimum of 12 years of related technical experience
• Familiarity with advanced cloud computing and modern software development methodologies
• Experience with DE tool to tool integration; tool types includes modeling, simulation, scheduling, collaboration, visualization, system engineering, data integration and database tools
• Familiarity with Digital Engineering, Model Based Engineering, and Model Based System Engineering techniques used with system engineering and how a DEE supports these activities
• Willing to travel domestically approx. 10%
• This position requires a current and active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

• Advanced degree in an appropriate technical field
• Applicable experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud including computing, data as service, and platform as a service
• Familiarity with the Intelligence Community (IC) space enterprise and systems
• Familiarity with the customer's enterprise engineering processes and products
• Familiar with cybersecurity and information assurance (IA) accreditations as well as modern day multi-level security systems
• Familiarity with data science application to National Security Space programs as well as the DEE currently deployed across the IC and Department of Defense (DoD)
