- In-person/hybrid for Northeast Ohio residents
- Remote for residents in the following states: AL, AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, MI, NC, NH, PA, TN, TX, VA

The role
Overall, the senior media manager will work with the media lead to own and create media plans for assigned accounts, ensuring all KPIs are met or exceeded. Other specific responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the planning, organization, execution and control of digital advertising campaigns for specified clients in accordance with clients’ objectives and budgets.
- Working with the media lead on accounts to proactively suggest tests, optimizations, etc.
- Bringing strategic thinking and smart recommendations to optimize clients’ objectives and internal needs.
- Reporting higher-level insights and key takeaways – not just numbers.
- Partnering with our analytics practice to develop measurable plans and deliver reporting on a timely basis.
- Providing the day-to-day execution, buy stewardship, and optimizations of accounts.
- Managing the budget and ensuring monthly/quarterly/annual spend goals are reached.
- Serving as quality control for campaigns and setups completed by other team members.
- Signing and sending insertion orders.
- Creating and maintaining respectful, positive working relationships with account service, creative, analytics, strategy, social, etc. to foster cross-department collaboration.
- Mentoring or training junior team members as opportunities exist.
Leadership
- Work in partnership with various departments/disciplines – most often with account management, analytics and creative – demonstrating a solid understanding of our clients’ businesses and communications objectives.
- Mentorship to junior staff.
Your Impact

- You will help the rest of the agency, particularly account management, creative and analytics, better understand the function of media marketing and how it helps our clients.
- You will play a key role in supporting the department’s reputation as a best-in-class media provider.
Standard Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in marketing, communications or related field. Experience working within an advertising or media agency with large account groups on multimedia channels is a plus.
- Understanding and application of business goals, marketing objectives, media objectives and platform KPIs.
- Thorough understanding of accurate media math calculations and planning principles, such as CPM, CPC, CPE, CTR, CPA, CPCV, reach, completion rate, engagement rate, frequency, frequency capping, ROAS, etc.
- Strong, independent, strategic thinking and unbiased evaluation around media recommendations and optimizations, including what tactics and executions serve various parts of the funnel (and how those work together).
- Working knowledge of The Trade Desk, Facebook Business Manager, GCM, Campaign Manager, DV360, Strata/SBMS and Google Ads.
- Understanding of how to use third-party data resources, including MRI-Simmons, Kantar, Pathmatics, Statista and SQAD.
- Knowledge and understanding of paid search platforms, including Google Ads, Bing Ads and their associated offline editors, as well as paid media platforms and others.
- Proactivity when working with media and account leads, anticipating what asks or needs are to come.
- Articulate and effective communicator, both written and verbal.
