Job Summary
The Senior Digital Strategy Manager will liaise between Compass Digital (CD) and Executive level operators within the Restaurant Associates (RA) sector. This position is also responsible to manage Digital Strategy Managers within the business line, ensuring that the team performance, growth, and management meets or exceeds expectations.
This is a two-way communications path not only taking current Compass Digital strategies to the above parties but feeding back requirements from clients and the business to the appropriate CD teams.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and drive high-level digital strategy for RA
- Act as an advocate for the business divisions using existing technological resources and solutions to improve the operational efficiencies and enhance daily activities
- Provide thought leadership and act as the RA digital expert
- Participate in the new business sales and retention engagement process (e.g., RFP responses, presentations, demonstrations)
- Identify and leverage data to evolve existing or define new strategies
- Incorporate best digital practices from the hospitality and other customer-facing industries
- Lead governance meetings with the RA executive team, inclusive of digital strategy overview, success metrics, and key opportunities for growth
- Professionally represent Compass Digital, customers and potential customers, in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with RA executive team and regional VPs, inclusive of occasional site visits
- Lead and participate in technology summits for operations and clients
- Participate in and support quarterly business reviews for RA clients
- Collaborate with internal CD teams (e.g., product, design, data, marketing) to enhance core CD platforms and their respective rollouts to RA client locations
- Help refine internal CD processes via unique knowledge of the RA business and accompanying requirements
- Identify and hire new candidates
- Onboard and oversee training of Digital Strategy Managers
- Manage and teach direct reports to align with development strategy
- Ensure team inclusion for key decision points
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years related experience in operations and/or digital strategy
- Presence in the NYC metro area
- Proven success in digital marketing strategy experience strongly preferred
- Food service or hospitality industry experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred
- Must be service-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must have strong customer relationship and presentation skills
- Strong project management and problem solving skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Operational knowledge a benefit
- Travel (approximately 30%) required as business needs arise
