THE POSITION

FanDuel group is looking to add a Senior Director, Analytics & Experimentation to join our growing team. This is an influential role that will make a key contribution to the company’s continued success. You will be responsible for driving business results and empowering informed, data-driven product decisions by delivering insightful & actionable analysis and excellence in our experimentation program.   You will lead a multi-tiered team of analysts and partner with leaders across the business to further empower FanDuel to be a nimble, customer-focused and data-driven organization.
THE GAME PLAN

- Define and execute a vision for customer insights (Analytics and UX Research) across the organization that spans user research and user experience analytics.
- Collaborate with other functions such as CS, marketing insights and social insights to develop a holistic view of our customers.
- Manage & develop a team of high performing customer insights (qual and quant) leaders and data analysts across many levels of seniority and locations.
- Lead a culture of product experimentation and optimization, and drive best practices across the organization. Drive velocity of conclusive experiments with product leaders.
- Ensure transparency and alignment on the analytics & experimentation roadmaps across the group
- Own the business relationship with key suppliers of analytical tools we use and constantly drive higher levels of performance and evaluation of potential new suppliers
- Ensure we have the right measures of success of our analytical programs and regularly report on progress
- Collaborate with product managers, other analytics functions, engineering, marketing, and operational functions to ensure successful product deliveries and launchesÂ
- Ensure the team can deliver accurate, timely and high-quality analysis and insights to stakeholders.
- Demonstrate leadership in analytics excellence, innovating in how we access, analyze, and share insights.
- Present to senior leaders in the organization on our analytics & experimentation program
- Pair with product leaders to be a pro-active partner influencing product roadmap with customer insights.
- Be an authority for customer behavioral data; using data to reshape our understanding of customer behavior & business performance.
- Become a data evangelist in the organization and facilitate the democratization of data across all teams.Â
- Co-define how our product & commercial teams measure success.
- Set the vision for A/B testing and experimentation at the organizational level; defining best practices and continuously look to improve our capabilities.
THE STATS
What we’re looking for in our next teammate
- Minimum11 years of experience in a product management & analytical related position.
- 4+ years managing and coaching multi-tiered teams of analysts, researchers, data scientists and/or data engineers. Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or related field.
- SQL knowledge is required.
- Experience with Amplitude Analytics is highly preferred.
- Experience with other languages such as R and Python is preferred.
- Previous experience in betting/gaming industry is preferred
- Previous experience with high-volume B2C ecommerce is preferred
- Proven record in customer-centric research that demonstrates success in driving organizational change and impact of qualitative research.
- An excellent understanding of product metrics and the latest techniques in measuring the customer experience and app performance.
- Significant experience with A/B testing & Experimentation methodologies and tools. Have an up to date understanding of the latest tools, methods and innovations.Â
- Proven track record in the implementation of analytics and measurement solutions in a digital ecosystem - experience with Amplitude would be preferred.Â
- Significant experience building intuitive and impactful data visualizations that drive business decisions (e.g., with Tableau, Mode, Amplitude, or similar).
- Excellent communication and data storytelling skills. Able to influence decision makers at all levels with data-driven insights.
- Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects while effectively balancing scope, resourcing, time, and quality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of management.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a very fast-paced and changing environment.
- Understanding of business priorities and ability to work to meet them.
- High level of personal initiative and motivation.Â
