Senior Director and Site Lead (Vaccines)

Q2 Solutions are looking for a delivery focused Senior Director and Site Lead to drive our Vaccines Business forward in the Research Triangle Park area of NC. You will work onsite at our brand new 165K sq. ft. state-of-the-art BSL-2/3 Innovation Laboratory which includes our Genomics, Vaccine and BioA businesses. Reporting to the Global Vaccine Lead, you will lead the Vaccine Business with overall accountability for the Vaccines Business Unit performance, client delivery and satisfaction, profitability, quality and the engagement and health and wellbeing of our 150 Vaccine employees.

Our Vaccines Business offers standard and custom services to support vaccine, infectious disease, and immunogenicity testing, as well as assay technology transfer and de novo assay development and validation. You will be responsible for:

• Vaccines Business Unit Profit & Loss (P&L) including strategic planning, organizing, and directing the Operational and R&D activities
• Developing related budgets, in collaboration with facility, and shared services departments
• Developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures and ensuring that all operations are in accordance with established health and safety regulations
• Keeping Senior Management informed of area activities and significant problems. Training, directing, and appraising assigned personnel
• In collaboration with the Head of Global Vaccines and the Vaccines Leadership Team, formulating and implementing short and long-term strategies, objectives, and policies
• Reviewing clients quotes/contracts to ensure alignment with business capabilities and capacity.

In order to do this you will have:

• Bachelor's Degree required in Business Administration or science-related field MBA would be a nice to have, but not essential
• 10 years of relevant experience in a CRO environment
• Proven strong leadership, training, and motivation skills with a track record of successfully managing and developing high performing teams.
• Prior experience managing customers and contract services is a plus.
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role with full P&L responsibility
• The ability to slice through ambiguity and drive clarity where confusion exists, leveraging technical expertise with strong business acumen

• In depth knowledge of Lab Operations procedures and applicable laboratory testing regulations
• Working knowledge of quality assurance and quality control principles and in-depth knowledge of company-specific program requirements

Work Location: RTP, NC - Relocation to this area will be required in order to work onsite. Relocation assistance is available.
