These insights are also experimentally evaluated in our state of the art Biological Modeling Laboratory to accelerate the development of new therapeutic options for patients. We are seeking a Senior Director to lead the growth of our laboratory team and to scale our operations and novel technology portfolio to further our precision oncology mission. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Lead a research team of high performing scientists and technicians to develop novel 3D organoid models and technologies including high throughput high content imaging assays 
• Oversee the development new methodologies to scale organoid libraries and organoid assays for high throughput evaluation of therapeutic response and mechanism
• Build upon an existing framework to continuously improve organoid and other patient derived model based research
• Drive strategic thinking to create best-in-class organoid platform
• Engage with commercial and academic strategic partners to create next-gen models representing current unmet needs and indications in oncology
• Collaborate with engineers, computational biologists, data scientists, and machine learning scientists on R&D initiatives both internally and with our strategic partners in pharma  

Qualifications:

• PhD with 10+ years laboratory management experience in an industry setting
• More than five years of experience managing an industrial scale research laboratory
• Demonstrated expertise with high throughput assay development and tool building
• Experience with initial laboratory automation builds and upgrades
• Experience with both internal and external projects involving multidisciplinary teams or collaborations 

 Preferred Candidates will Possess:

• Track record of developing novel protocols, assays, and onboarding new screening technologies involving 3D cell culture or organoids 
• Majority of industrial experience within a pharmaceutical drug discovery or development setting
• PhD in quantitative sciences or engineering
• Experience leading and managing teams
• Collaborative skills across organizational levels
• Strategic thinking
