Role Description
As the Senior Director, Business Analytics, you will manage all analytics to support our Strategy and Business Operations function, responsible for partnering with the team and business functions to drive business insights to inform corporate, product, and business strategy. You will work closely with our VP, Strategy and Business Operations to develop building blocks of strategy including customer segmentation, voice of the customer, benchmarking, executive dashboards, corporate input and output metrics, etc.

A key piece of this role will be triangulating data from across all insights teams - as well as partnering with key cross-functional partners e.g. Product, Finance, Sales  -  to create meaningful insights that drive our short and long range strategy decisions. These insights would then be fed into the ongoing quarterly and annual strategic processes across the company and up to the Board of Directors.  The ideal candidate will be able to handle highly sensitive, confidential, and non-routine information supporting a rapidly changing organization.
Responsibilities- Work closely with Dropbox’s VP, Strategy and Business Operations to define and develop key business insights to help support drive scalable growth strategies and execution of these plans
- Gather and synthesize relevant data, leading analyses and presenting final recommendations that will drive short- and long-term growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help guide customer insights that drive long-term shareholder value
- Build a world-class Business Analytics team and provide coaching, thought partnership, and mentorship to team members; You will define a strong team culture and provide the vision for the team
- ~7+ years experience in business analytics, modeling, strategic analytics
- Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance; M.B.A. or other advanced technical degree strongly preferred
- Significant experience leading complex, cross-functional projects with multiple partners; experience with a scaling business is a plus
- Strong relationship-building skills and experience working closely with senior executives, the ability to develop strong working relationships with other business functions quickly to develop business insights based on data
- You are highly analytical, good at breaking down problems and delivering actions
- You have a low ego attitude: willing to shift from high-level critical thinking, to rolling up your sleeves and supporting implementation
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and a dynamic business landscape
Total Rewards
For candidates hired in Colorado, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is $220,200 - $259,100 - $298,000.
This salary/OTE range represents the low, middle, and high end of the salary or OTE (Sales roles) range for this position, and is subject to change. To determine a Dropboxer’s starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. This position may be considered a promotional opportunity.
Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
