About the Role: 

We are looking for an experienced communications professional to lead corporate communications at Unite Us. As Senior Director of Communications, you will advance the Unite Us narrative across key verticals and develop effective media strategies to elevate the unique power and impact of Unite Us’ technology in advancing health equity and transforming the care delivery ecosystem. 


Reporting to the VP of Marketing & Communications, you will provide ongoing partnership and counsel to Unite Us’ executive leadership team to align on company strategy and priorities and translate those needs into effective communications strategies. We are looking for someone who has managed high performing communications teams, has experience developing and reporting out to executive leadership on strategy and KPIs, and has a strong understanding and track record of successfully running campaigns. You must be a natural storyteller through your verbal and written communication style with an ability to perform in a fast paced and evolving environment. 


What You'll Do:

  • Develop Unite Us’s brand as a trusted, high-impact social care technology partner for government, healthcare, and community stakeholders
  • Develop communications strategy that positions Unite Us as the category leader for social care
  • Lead a high performing communications team to support the development and execution of Unite Us’s corporate communications strategy
  • Plan, prioritize, and prepare for external communication opportunities, media outreach, company messaging and talking points
  • Create and execute on strategies to effectively respond to reputational challenges and overcome misinformation
  • Lead relationships with external communications partners
  • Collaborate with government relations, legal, customer success, sales, networks and other Unite Us teams on responsive actions, proactive campaigns, and to support Unite Us communications priorities

You’re a great fit for this role if:

  • At least 10 years of relevant communications experience, including leading communications for a highly-visible, national or multinational company or organization
  • Experience leading communications for high growth tech companies and/or working in Government and/or Healthcare Sectors
  • Experience building, managing, and mentoring a team
  • Experience building a corporate communications strategy and effectively bringing it to life through activities and tactics, both through direct execution and leading a team
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex, multi-part and/or multi-audience public relations programs to build brand trust and achieve clear goals
  • Extensive experience with media relations, including proactively building relationships with press, facilitating media placements, and handling media inquiries on behalf of a company and/or clients
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including developing compelling corporate storytelling
  • Experience understanding the impact of and incorporating attention to diversity, equity, and inclusion in communications work and engagement with colleagues
  • Experience and excellent judgment in working closely with company executives, providing sound counsel and helping company leaders develop their voice and thought leadership in key communications channels
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels to achieve successful outcomes

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • This position is remote, U.S. based
  • The target pay range for this role is: 180-200K
  • This position may require 25% travel 
  • All team members in departments that must be available for in person meetings (currently Customer Success, Networks & Sales) must submit proof of Covid-19 vaccination and booster, or receive an approved accommodation. Accommodations will be reviewed and approved on an individual basis.
