The Digital Plat form Engineering team is focused on building world-class platforms in the cloud, with capabilities and processes that enable our engineers to focus on delivering innovative customer-facing features. Our digital platform serves a variety of internal and ext ernal developers and services by creating secured paved roads for our cloud assets, building fully automated CICD pipelines, and enabling fast experimentation for our data science services.

Let's talk about the Role:

As a Senior Director of Core Platforms Engineering at ResMed, yo u will Lead our API strategy and roadmap initiatives while aligning the strategy to the business objectives. As the leader of the API management platform, you'll build out our team to expand our core APIs, simplifying the abilities of engineers to build appli cations on top of our platform. API Management platform is the backbone that enables API creators ship "APIs as a product". The cutting-edge large-scale distributed platform will offer experiences that enable API creators to publish new APIs and offer the next-gen API integrations for application developers. On the technology stack, the leader will be overseeing platform development that spans the latest in cloud-native tech. and rethink how APIs, their design, and runtime manifestations can be seamlessly blended with state-of-the-art observability all with a singular experience. How You Will Lead:

• Establish API domains, API development methodology, and selection of API technology components including API gateway.

• Integrate a ResMed-wide authentication+authorization solution into API Gateway and help PD teams integrate their services.
• Design and evangelize common API patterns so developers know what to expect when they use a service.
• Drive the adoption, utilization, and satisfaction of the API platform across ResMed.
• Lead or assist in M&A activities
• Work cross-functionally to ensure t he APIs you launch interoperate with other products in the ResMed product suite

• Excellent communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audience
• Driven, motivated team player with a Get S tuff Done mentality!

Let's talk about you:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent combined education and experience.
• 10+ years managing and operating SaaS applications in production environments, including various types of software architectures like microservices / RESTful API's

• Experience with APIs and 3rd-party API adoption.
• Strong technical abilities with experience in systems design and scale. We're running with XXX, YYY, and AWS.
• Work experience in two or more of: Unix/Linux, Distributed Systems, AWS/GCP, Kubernetes/Container platforms-based software development
• Have extensive experience with metrics and logging lib raries and aggregators, data analysis and visualization tools
• Record of improving your team through your leadership and mentoring. Helping the team see their path for growth.
