What you will be doing

The Sr. Director of the Customer Communications Hub is a new role for the organization that is responsible for helping to streamline processes, implement best practices and create consistency in customer messaging and communications across AmerisourceBergen to drive an improved experience for our customers. The initial focus for this team will be on our U.S. human health businesses as we begin to build out the team and help the organization understand the goals and objectives of AB's Customer Communications Experience Hub team.
  • Lead the development and improvement of consistent customer communication experiences across roles journeys, service lines, and communication categories
  • Enable the development and consistent quality of communication templates
  • Utilize data-driven learnings to enable a feedback loop continuously improving communications
  • Own "State of the Experience Group" meetings with regular cadence to enable cross-functional collaboration
  • Develop and maintain SOPs across all key areas of communication experiences

What your background should look like

Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, communications, marketing, strategy or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year Bachelor's Degree Program. Normally requires a minimum of ten (10) years directly related and progressively responsible experience. Experience in leading a team and process for a customer messaging or communications in a highly regulated industry, a plus.
  • This position requires a high degree of collaboration with leadership and teams outside of your direct area of responsibility and the ability to influence without authority and gain buy-in from multiple stakeholders. A customer-focused mindset is critical to ensure we're building an operating model and processes that meet and exceed our customers' expectations.
  • High degree of technical knowledge of principles in communications, marketing and project management
  • Ability to understand and strategically interpret business unit goals into messaging and provide senior leadership guidance on organizational effectiveness and customer experience
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution business
  • Tactical agility and consultative approach to problem solving with a bias toward delivery and results
  • Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior level executives
  • Must be highly resourceful, self-motivated, and adaptive to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Meticulous detail orientation, with excellent follow through and follow up
  • Ability to identify and proactively manage risks to the successful execution of business short- and long-term strategy
  • Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability in managing teams
  • Knowledge of ABC policies, programs & services and products
  • Demonstrated history of operating as a business manager
  • Superior oral and written communications skills
  • Strong creativity
  • Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs
