As the Senior Director of Data Management and Data Products for Business Alignment, you will assume a pivotal leadership role responsible for fostering alignment across multiple customer teams, marketing, sales, and insights teams within a large organization. Your primary objective is to establish and optimize data-related processes specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of each function, ensuring that data is harnessed effectively for well-informed decision-making. This role places a strong emphasis on aligning data strategies, governance, and data product development with the distinct goals and objectives of the business units, including master data hierarchy and attribute alignment.
How you will contribute:
Data Strategy and Governance for Business Units:
  • Execute data management strategies that closely align with the specific objectives of marketing, sales, and insights teams, as well as customer teams.
  • Anchor & enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices customized to each business unit's unique requirements.
  • Ensure strict compliance with data privacy regulations and industry-specific standards while keeping the focus on meeting the objectives of the business units.

Tailored Master Data Hierarchy and Attribute Alignment:
  • Develop, recommend, and align data hierarchies and attributes across key stakeholders, including marketing, sales, insights, and customer teams, ensuring they are in sync with each group's unique requirements.

Bespoke Data Quality and Integration:
  • Define data quality standards and implement data quality assurance processes designed specifically to meet the needs of marketing, sales, insights, and customer teams.
  • Facilitate definition of data definition and standards that enable data integration across various systems and sources to provide a unified view of organizational data, all while ensuring it aligns with the objectives of each business unit.
  • Define and monitor data quality metrics and lead efforts to address data issues that impact the effectiveness of marketing, sales, insights, and customer teams.

Data Products Development for Each Business Unit:
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to identify, develop, and deliver data products that support the specific needs of marketing, sales, insights, and customer teams.
  • Ensure that data products are readily available and accessible for reporting, analysis, and business insights tailored to each business unit's requirements.
  • Support data-driven decision-making by providing the right data products to each business team.

Customized Team Leadership and Development:
  • Build and lead a high-performing data products team, with a focus on understanding and addressing the unique requirements of marketing, sales, insights, and customer teams.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement specifically designed to meet the needs of the business units.

Business Unit Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate extensively with business leaders, MDS leaders to comprehend the unique data needs and priorities of marketing, sales, insights, and customer teams, ensuring that data initiatives align with the specific objectives of each business unit.
  • Act as a bridge between MDS, business, and executive leadership to align data initiatives, governance, and data product development with the individual goals and objectives of each business unit.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Analytics).
  • Extensive experience in data management and data product development (typically 15+ years), including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role with a keen understanding of the unique needs of business units in marketing, sales, insights, and customer teams.
  • Profound knowledge of data management principles, practices, and technologies designed to meet the specific requirements of each business unit.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements within the context of marketing, sales, insights, and customer teams' goals.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills designed to address the unique requirements of the business units.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams, understanding their specific needs.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on addressing the requirements of each business team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CDMP, CDP, DAMA) are a plus, especially when they enhance the understanding of data management and product development tailored to the unique needs of each business unit.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $158,800 to $317,600 ; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. The salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results and is eligible to participate in the Company's annual equity program.
