Lilly's Drug Disposition/ADME organization is looking to add to the team. We are seeking candidates for a Senior Director position to lead a dynamic group of bioanalytical scientists focused on the ADME/PK support of small molecules, biologics and hybrid modalities. This leader must have experience with diverse bioanalytical platforms, including LC-MS, ligand binding assays, PCR, and flow cytometry. The Lilly portfolio is growing rapidly with ambitious molecular platforms, so the successful candidate must have not only an established history of people management and scientific leadership, but also a collaborative and innovative mentality to challenge historical workflows and drive a new standard of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a group of research path scientific staff to provide bioanalytical support across therapy areas and across the early discovery through late development stages of drug development.
  • Lead team responsible for technical and strategic execution of outsourced bioanalytical assays.
  • Provide scientific and administrative leadership. Allocate and prioritize resources, consult on scientific and business issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with discovery, non-clinical and clinical teams and ADME leadership
  • Lead internal and external relationships to complete portfolio needs including consistent delivery to timelines, including accelerated timelines
  • Maintain a strong external scientific network to ensure knowledge of current trends and scientific innovation
  • Evaluate new technologies, techniques, study designs or equipment and assess the applicability to current or future functional area needs
  • This position will reside in Indianapolis, IN

Basic Requirements:

  • PhD in field related to bioanalysis, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK) or pharmaceutical sciences
  • 6+ years job experience in DMPK related field

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Prior group leadership/people management experience
  • Experience with drug discovery and/or development and knowledge of regulatory processes
  • Experience with bio-analysis of one or more of the following: biologics, peptides, siRNA, gene therapies
  • Proficient written and spoken English language skills and effective verbal communication
