Who You Are:
The Senior Director, DTC will direct day-to-day online operations relating to supergoop.com’s site merchandising, promotions and campaigns, along with oversight of retention channels such as Email / SMS, playing a key role in driving the continued growth of our online channel. As a DTC leader you should be able to balance an analytical approach of test/learn/iterate with a customer centric vision and have experience working in a successful ecommerce business that has maintained significant year over year growth.Â
This role reports to the SVP of DTC and manages 4-5 direct reports. Key partners include Paid Media, CX, Digital Product, Brand and Retail Marketing, Creative, Product Development, Inventory Planning, Operations, Customer Service and 3rd Party Vendors.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage daily e-commerce commercial initiatives including online merchandising, campaigns and launches, promotions, and content execution, with the goal of driving revenue growth for Supergoop.com
- Oversee team responsible for strategy and execution of Email/SMS programming
- Lead brand’s SEO, on site search, and personalization strategiesÂ
- Own overarching online campaign and messaging calendar, overseeing site programming for key moments such as product launches, brand campaigns and promotions
- Oversee creative request briefing, feedback, and review of site and retention creative assets, ensuring business objectives and delivery deadlines are met
- Join product development, forecasting and P&L reviews with senior leadership to inform on-site assortment strategy and ensure we are on track to meet our targets
- Lead site sampling, kits and bundles strategy, forecasting, execution, and analysis, working with internal partners to take advantage of cost efficiencies for marketing and promotional programs
- Monitor and manage business performance, overseeing topline weekly business insight reporting and recurring monthly performance reviews for senior leadership
- Lead business analysis of all merchandising and site programs to drive continuous improvement in sales and engagement
- Identify innovations that can improve the brand site experience and collaborate with Director of Digital Product to execute
- Partner with Paid Media Director on site landing experience strategy and optimization
- Collaborate with CX Director to ID efficiencies and optimization opportunities for overall site experience
- Key DTC partner and SME to Brand and Retail marketing teams in the role out of cross-functional / 360 initiatives such as events, partnerships and collaborations
Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required, MBA a plus
- 10+ years of ecommerce/digital experience, including at least 5-7 years in a commercial ecommerce role, beauty/CPG experience preferred
- Strong skills in strategy and planning, budget management, merchandising, marketing, site operations
- Proven leadership and team management skills, previous direct responsibility for managing a cohesive, high-performing team
- A creative and analytical thinker and problem solver
- Able to prioritize and oversee multiple projects at once
- Collaborative and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and driving alignment
- Can leverage analytical and strategic planning skills to make quick, fact-based decisions
- Comfortable presenting to all levels of management and effectively communicating analyses and findings
- Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge and Excel skills required
- Experience with enterprise-level ecommerce solutions, Shopify Plus knowledge preferred, proficiency in Google Analytics or similar tool requiredÂ
- Experience with working with Email and SMS solutions, Klaviyo and Attentive a plusÂ
