Senior Director, Financial COE and Shared Services

Job Description

The SR Director, Financial COE and Shared Services is a key member of the finance leadership team responsible for leading and optimizing a global center of excellence and shared services financial team. Reporting into the Chief Accounting Officer, this role will lead and oversee a team who supports critical day to day transaction processing and certain accounting activities. Additionally, this person evaluates the inclusion of additional processes into the Accounting Shared Services function, including the integration of certain processes from acquired companies, to ensure processes are centrally managed in an efficient and effective manner. These responsibilities require strong alignment and communication with segment accounting teams and other stakeholder groups

Responsibilities:

• Design and execution of scalable policies, processes and systems that address risk management and efficient transaction processing, while ensuring accounting and reporting is in accordance with company guidelines and country regulations
• Establish and lead the execution of goals to continuously improve the financial and operational processes and controls that scale with business growth, including documentation of policies and procedures
• Lead and standardize processes for credit and collections, accounts payable, business analytics, fixed assets, standard journal entries, account reconciliations, and other routine support transactions
• Key partner in leading execution of related merger, acquisition, and divestiture activity. Manages integration efforts for Financial Shared Services, including aligning policies and procedures and implementing best practice
• Partner with departments across the business to streamline cross-functional processes, identify improvement opportunities and resolve solutions.

Experience:

• Master's degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
• 15+ years leadership, with financial experience or other relevant experience, preferably with a global public company
• Detail oriented with superior organization and excellent analytical skills
• Impactful business partner with strong communications skills able to effectively collaborate across departments
• Prior experience with effective financial system design, configuration, and implementation of financial systems to support a rapidly growing and internationally expanding organization
• Leader who is a highly entrepreneurial person who thrives in a dynamic work environment and demonstrates a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly and efficiently under tight deadlines
