About the role
The Senior Director, Financial Planning and Analysis that will be a trusted partner to the VP of Global Finance and the Senior Leadership team to drive impact and scale. This role will develop and implement critical strategies and tactics while setting the growth and risk parameters for the business. The role will lead the Global FP&A team for both Finance Business Partnership and Corporate Finance. The role will collaborate across multiple functions and levels and be the objective partner for key internal stakeholders/leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Directly manage and lead a team of exceptional FP&A professionals through coaching and, hands-on examples & positive behaviors
- Support the quarterly planning processes and ongoing forecasts by setting company targets and tracking/reporting performance relative to the plan
- Execute the financial planning and budget management approach/processes to assist the senior leaders in managing their functions and businesses
- Support multi-year financial planning process
- Partner with functional leaders to develop short-term/long-term business financial plans that support the strategies/tactics of their respective functions and businesses
- Assist in optimizing the capital structure and raising funds via debt/equity as needed
- Proactively identify and understand risks that could prevent the achievement of objectives and recommend actions to resolve
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to determine and drive business strategy, improve efficiency, and maximize ROI
- Partner closely with the accounting team to mature and scale front-end and back-end financial processes
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for presentation to Senior Leadership, investors, and the Board of Directors
- Own and develop reporting and tracking of key metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) working cross-functionally
Qualifications:
- Degree in finance, business, or related degree. MBA is strongly preferred
- 15+ years of experience as a successful leader with demonstrated achievement in growing a high-performance finance team
- Knowledge of multiple financial modeling systems and techniques
- Ability to be highly organized with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Ability to organize complex information with an attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate both internally and with external stakeholders in both the written and spoken word
- Complex problem solving, judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Experience with reporting requirements in both a pre-and post-public-company environment
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and be adaptable, flexible, persistent, versatile, and handle multiple projects and re-prioritization
- A keen understanding of performance marketing metrics is strongly preferred
