What You’ll Do:

As the Sr. Director of Government Program Management, you will oversee our Program Management team in administering a complex portfolio of government programs to ensure customer success and meet revenue targets. You will work directly with our sales and capture teams to plan and manage all aspects of assigned program(s), such as scope, deliverables, impact on the business, resources, profit and loss, product strategy, account reporting, and support to higher level portfolio objectives. 

You will provide clear recommendations to Product, Engineering, and Science teams to support the strategic direction for the company, focusing on technology transition to operations. You will be vital to the success and growth of our partner and client relationships. You will implement repeatable program management processes across the program lifecycle to manage cost, performance, schedule and risk. 

Position Responsibilities: 
  • Executes all position responsibilities in alignment with Slingshot’s core values, mission, and purpose

  • Work with Government Program Management team to create and manage both short-and long-term project and program goals
  • Ensure all government programs are compliant with customer requirements throughout all program phases
  • Execute programs cross-functionally to ensure customer success, promote a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals and key deliverables
  • Prepare ad hoc and periodic presentations and reports and present them to stakeholders
  • Conduct analyses and situational reporting to ensure that contracts are being executed within negotiated scope while ensuring successful business outcomes for both Slingshot and our stakeholders
  • Lead Program Management team in navigating complex relationships and associated contracts with client(s), Primes, and Subcontractors to successfully deliver on our commitments to maintain trust within the industry
  • Communicate customer feedback and needs to stakeholders
  • Utilize professional judgment, critical thinking skills and research to improve program processes and resolve issues affecting program performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned (to be less than 10% of the responsibilities listed above)
Pre-Requisites
  • This position requires a Top Secret government security clearance, you must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain security clearances
Minimum Requirements
  • 7+ years experience in Program/Account Management or similar role
  • 3+ years experience leading a team, understanding of how to grow and scale a team to support company growth
  • Strong writing and presentation skills and an ability to communicate at all levels of commercial and government organizations
  • Demonstrated expertise employing program management techniques to achieve program success, as measured by cost, schedule, and performance metrics
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-disciplinary teams composed of, for example, software engineering, business operations, finance, contracting, and sales
  • Ability to travel within the continental US approximately 10%-15% of the time
Preferred Skills
  • Masters degree in a business or technical field
  • PMP Certification 
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Professional work experience in space industry
  • Experience with core sales tools: Hubspot/Salesforce, LinkedIn, Google Apps, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience executing contracts with the Federal Government
