Senior Director Higher Ed Engagement - US Based Remote Opportunity

Common App is currently searching for a Senior Director Higher Ed Engagement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a leading member of the Member Impact team and reporting to the Vice President of Member Impact, the Senior Director Higher Ed Engagement is responsible for overseeing a recruitment program for new college and university members, developing ongoing recruitment strategies as the organization expands into new markets and ensuring new members have an excellent experience as they join Common App. The Senior Director also oversees our efforts to engage with representatives of state systems and members as they pursue large-scale solutions to access post-secondary opportunities. In partnership with Product Strategy, Marketing, and other key internal collaborators, they will craft a comprehensive approach to grow membership and develop plans to continuously improve the onboarding experience of new members. The Senior Director manages a team of 5-6 members and is accountable for the member recruitment targets and the quality of their experience onboarding with Common App.
Requirements
This role requires:
- Candidates must live in the United States.
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and education in communications, business, marketing, or acquisitions with at least 7+ years of broad experience in business acquisition and leadership in this area.
- Experience successfully working with Higher Education enrollment leaders and Presidents or C-level with 7+ years of sales or account management experience.
- Experience and a proven track record of participating in education forums.
- Experience building and managing department budgets
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting business acquisition strategies to gain and maintain new clients or members
- Solid understanding of undergraduate and post-traditional college application landscape and technology differentiators of key competitors.
- Passion for education and technology and its opportunity to better enable learning opportunities for students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Comfortable and effective in small-group and large-group presentations.
- Success in completing market-sizing, documenting business plans, and creating financial models to support plans.
- Strong organizational and management skills, preferably in a collaborative, team environment.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills, with proven negotiation skills.
- Excellent math skills in drafting and implementing budgets and conducting data analysis.
- Thorough understanding of company products and/or services, and those of immediate competitors in the surrounding market.
- Results oriented with a combination of mental flexibility, creativity, analytical ability, and sound judgment.
- Ability to develop business and prospect new member universities and colleges
- Curating lasting relationships with members and potential candidates
- Consultative sales solutions development and execution
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Salesforce, or related software.
