What You'll Do
You'll lead the development and implementation of progressive people and organizational programs that transform the business and enable future success. You'll partner closely with other senior leaders across Cox and serving as veritable HR powerhouse, here's a peek at your duties:
- Aligning short and long-term people goals with business strategy, and leading people-related initiatives to achieve success.
- Influencing senior leaders to accelerate business priorities through talent management, diversity and inclusion, rewards/recognition and organizational effectiveness.
- Anticipating and responding to changing business needs.
- Providing expertise, strategic consulting and thought leadership to drive people strategies for corporate groups, new ventures and high growth/transformation areas of the business.
- Serving as an advocate on companywide strategies and initiatives.
- Working with leaders to design and create organizations, teams and ways of working that will deliver business success.
- Using data, insights and storytelling to proactively challenge established operating, org structure and role designs.
- Working with leaders and talent partners to develop and execute talent strategy.
- Leading smooth organizational transitions using change management best practices.
- Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to drive continuous improvement performance, retention and the employee experience.
- Reviewing external data and trends and providing relevant insight back into the business.
- In partnership with the engagement COE, developing and driving an employee engagement strategy.
- Driving the continued development and performance success of HRBPs; this role will lead 1-2 HRBPs, possibly more in the future.
Who You Are
You have a mindset of continuous improvement, working diligently to move the needle on important HR issues. You're a forward-thinking team player who has strong business and financial acumen. You also have the following;
Minimum :
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field.
- 12+ years progressive experience in HR disciplines with a strategic focus or equivalent combination of education and experience (MS with 10 years of relevant experience or Ph.D. with 7 years of relevant experience, or 16 year of relevant experience with no degree).
- 7+ years in a leadership role.
- 5+ years of experience managing HR professionals.
- Experience working with, coaching and influencing senior leaders to drive significant change.
- Experience in driving transformation in a growing, evolving organization; ideally both early stage and mature company experience
- Expertise in acquisitions, joint ventures and divestitures
- M&A due diligence experience in the HR space
- Leadership and exposure to all parts of the HR body of knowledge (HRBP/COE).
- Experience in successfully leading significant change and business transformation.
- Competence in making timely, effective and principles-based decisions.
- Demonstrated advanced client focus, judgment, analytical skills, critical thinking and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal).
- Success leading, coaching and developing people in a high-performing team environment.
- The ability to leverage HR expertise and operations knowledge to bring relevant solutions to business challenges.
- Success working within a matrixed organization.
- The ability to evaluate complex data and make recommendations.
- The ability to establish partnerships with business leaders and colleagues, as well as credibility with executive leaders as a trusted advisor and confidante.
Preferred :
- Advanced degree in business, HR or a related field.
- HR certification such as PHR, SPHR or GPHR.
- Experience successfully driving change in the media or highly disruptive industry.
- Experience with consulting and/or with diverse portfolio management.
