This is an opportunity for you to create, drive and implement high-impact HR initiatives in a fast-growing business. You have a great passion for both practical and strategic HR work, and you love working in a global context where you support employees and leaders worldwide, with the primary focus in the USA and Canada. You thrive in a role where you won't be micromanaged and where you are expected to take the lead.
In this role you will add value and impact to our business by:
- Acting as a strong strategic People partner to the business - translating business and organizational needs into tangible HR plans and practical solutions for leaders and teams. You will play a key role in providing consultation and hands-on support in developing our organization and leadership across our North America Sales team and our Global Product Enterprise Solutions team.
- Actively supporting the continued development of our current HR services and support in Enterprise & Messaging, tailoring as needed for USA and Canada. As a result of a clear merger and acquisition strategy, many HR programs, processes, policies, and initiatives are still in development and/or harmonization where your experience will be key.
More precisely, you will:
- Drive HR initiatives and activities together with your stakeholders across the region. Prioritize and partner with the business on how to build high-performing teams, efficient organizations, and critical competencies and capabilities for the future state of the business.
- Partner with HR colleagues across various HR functions and Global HR Communities of Practice to further advance, and tailor by region where necessary, in such areas as organizational development, culture and engagement, diversity and inclusion, compensation and benefits, leadership development, and other HR areas as prioritized.
- Coach and partner with employees, leaders, and management teams on a day-to-day basis to embed and embolden our Sinch culture and core values. You drive and strengthen the company culture by being an inspiring champion and role model.
- Oversee HR operations and support for our teams in the USA and Canada in Enterprise & Messaging. Together with your USA-based HR colleagues, you hold together an end-to-end country HR support for our local teams, covering the full range of HR (employee relations, HR policies, HR cyclical processes, HR administration, etc.).
- Oversee and ensure that the USA organization is compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to effectively reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Partner with legal and other colleagues to ensure Canadian compliance.
- Define and lead communication plans and cadences in your region together with local leadership teams.
Who will you work with
You will report to the Head of HR for the Enterprise & Messaging Business Unit, who is based in Stockholm, Sweden (6 hours ahead of USA-Eastern time zone). You'll be part of a global HR team and work closely with our USA-based country HR colleagues responsible for daily HR support. You will collaborate with executive leaders in the USA and support their global leadership teams. You will also partner with our global HR functional areas in, for instance, leadership development, employee engagement, people analytics, and learning. You will collaborate with our HR heads in Sinch's other business units that are present in the USA and Canada, as well as working closely with our USA-based Benefits team.
In order to be successful in this role, you have:
- 10+ years of demonstrated successful, innovative and value-driven HR experience in a global environment having worked as an HR Director or Senior HR Business Partner.
- Bachelor's degree in related field and/or requisite experience with relevant certifications.
- Experience in USA benefits strategies and programs, compensation practices and employee relations.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of USA employment legislation and compliance requirements, HR policies and best practices.
- Experience in driving change and building the culture with a Hands-on, Can-do, Can-try approach.
- A self-starter mindset, with strong capability to structure and independently drive your work forward. You can deal with ambiguity and are excited to bring the gray areas into focus.
- The skill to easily gain trust at all levels, possessing excellent relationship-building skills.
- The ability to influence at all levels, with or without direct authority.
- The emotional intelligence to create and inspire engagement, partnering with your colleagues and leaders to maximize employee performance and productivity.
- The mindset to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and champion positive change.
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
