Overview:

This role is part of the Global Market Research Team that provides centralized resources and capabilities to market researchers around the globe as well as research support to non-brand facing parts of the business. It is critical that we advance our capabilities and empower Lilly to discover, distill and activate quality insights so we can understand our customers better than anyone else in our industry.

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for delivering integrated insights capabilities to support both brand team-facing research teams and functions without dedicated MR support, including Customer Experience teams, Medical Affairs, Corporate Communications, and Corporate Branding. This support comes primarily through the market research team based at the Lilly Capability Centre of India (LCCI) in Bangalore, also referred to as LMRI (Lilly Market Research in India) which has a dotted line reporting into this role.

Within the team, the responsibilities include hiring, coaching, and retaining talent; creating technical standards and operational process; identifying new research tools and capabilities; incorporating automation; supervising the workload; and encouraging continuous improvement.

Across the Lilly organization, the responsibilities include communicating with stakeholders; identifying new organizations that can be supported; piloting market research capabilities that are new to LMRI; and integrating the work into market research teams around the world.

From time to time, this role will lead market research projects for ad hoc requests made by Lilly USA or corporate leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of direct market research experience

Additional Skills/Preferences

  • M.B.A., M.M.R., or other relevant advanced degree
  • Strong track record for hiring, developing, and leading a market research team.
  • Demonstrated experience managing people across cultures and time zones.
  • Strong advocate for customer experience and research transformation
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strong collaboration with colleagues at all levels; able to work with and through others
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate and resolve highly complex market research and business problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated learning agility and ability to think differently to incorporate new learning.
  • Ability to think at an enterprise as well as at a business unit, affiliate and functional level
  • Experience with statistical analyses
  • Experience with market research tools and platforms like SPSS, Decipher, IQVIA, NetBase, Python, R, CD Promo, and others.

Additional Information

  • Role will require early morning meetings several times a week to facilitate live phone/Teams conversations with team based in Bangalore.
