Guild is hiring a Senior Director of Learning Marketplace; Strategy & Operations. This role leads Strategy and Operations for the Learning Marketplace (LM) pre and post-sales teams, which includes Business Development, Partner Success, and Portfolio Strategy functions. Guild's network of online learning providers and non-profit universities helps each student navigate the worlds of work and college, combining online classes, programs and degrees with personalized advising and retention coaching. The Strategy & Operations team owns end-to-end GTM strategy operationalization and execution, helping the learning marketplace team scale effectively.

In this critical leadership role, you will partner with the LM leadership team to set and operationalize strategy, and define, build, and scale a world class operations foundation. Your team will develop, track and deliver against operating goals; design and implement key cross-functional initiatives; and perform root cause analysis to diagnose challenges. You will build out a team of strong operators and problem solvers that can partner cross functionally to own growth strategies, operational plans, process improvements, capacity and resource plans.

As Senior Director of LM Strategy & Operations you will:

  • Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team of 2+ strategy & operations professionals, reporting up to the SVP of Strategy, Operations & Enablement
  • Develop and operationalize Learning Marketplace strategy, track ongoing delivery against OKRs
  • Support Guild’s planning and budgeting process. Help ensure LM org goals are consistently aligned with company and LM strategy
  • Provide operational “run the business” support for each LM function
  • Lead deep-dive root cause analysis on specific, high-priority business challenges
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement for process optimization, process redesign, or development of new process/policies
  • Enable pre and post sales reporting and analytics. Deliver insights into performance and activities
  • Drive operational effectiveness by leveraging industry standard methodologies and design process, tool, and dashboard improvements to scale our high-growth business

  • Results driven self starter, skilled at analyzing, prioritizing, and solving sophisticated problems effectively and consistently
  • Effective and adaptable in an unstructured, ambiguous environment requiring new perspectives, creative approaches, and competing deadlines
  • Proven track record of leading change management, and developing methods to produce with urgency on projects both big and small, with an ownership mentality
  • Effective, clear, and concise communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to communicate the right level of information to executives and cross-functional teams at the right cadence.
  • Very effective at partnering across the organization, influencing others, and co-pilot cross-team initiatives. Willingness to be a hands-on leader
  • Demonstrable experience in using data-driven insights to improve sales productivity and performance, including being responsible for the analysis, defining objectives, and problem solving cross-functionally to achieve short and long term results
Preferred Proficiencies
  • 10+ years of Experience working at a Consulting firm or Business Strategy / Operations role
  • Experience leading a team during a period of high growth and change
  • Experience with a running operations for a high end enterprise sales model
  • Strong people manager with the ability to drive strategic direction while also allowing for individual autonomy and accountability

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $198,000- $239,250, as well as company stock options.
