Senior Director, Marketing Communications - (M7)

Responsible for creating and managing high-impact technology marketing communications programs to increase Applied 's visibility to external stakeholders including customers, media and investors. Works closely with internal executives and technology leaders -- and leads the marketing communications team -- to explain and promote Applied 's semiconductor process and manufacturing technologies through diverse communications channels, including virtual and live programs, websites, industry conferences and customer meetings.

Brings the magic of evolving chipmaking technology to life with creative 3D and 2D graphics, animations and photography. Leads the production of a wide range of events ranging from simple conference presentations to sophisticated live video events. Supports marketing and sales efforts of product and sales groups in the U.S., Europe, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and China.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with internal experts to define, plan and execute Applied 's semiconductor technology and product communications strategy.
• Driving marketing communications plans, budgets, initiatives, and programs.
• Partnering with colleagues in the company's global business units, PR team, investor relations team, employee communications group and government affairs team.
• Launching Applied 's new technologies and products across various communications channels, such as company-led events, industry technical events and customer-specific events.
• Aligning internal and external stakeholders and contributors to a common understanding of goals, requirements, responsibilities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Delivering technically accurate, engaging, high-quality visual and written content for a variety of media including 2D illustrations, 3D animations, videos, slideware, and web content.
• Product naming and trademarking.
• Managing an internal marketing communications team, agencies, and contractors to ensure all programs and deliverables meet objectives, timelines and budgets.
• Upholding company policies and procedures for the Semiconductor Products Group's marketing activities, including naming, branding, system color schemes, external publications and presentations, signage, customer gifts, etc.

Skills & experience required

• Recent/relevant experience in the technology industry is a must. Semiconductor industry knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of successful marketing communications programs.
• Driven leader with the ability to work with and influence all levels of management and personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to take direct responsibility for program execution and delivery including hands-on involvement in deliverables.
• Values people and develops the team.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Highly experienced with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe software packages.
