Who You Are
Braze is looking for a Head of/Senior Director, Marketing Operations to help scale the business, by ensuring that the marketing strategy and team is supported with critical business insights, sound investment decisions, processes that drive efficiency and a modern tech-stack . In this role, you will focus heavily on garnering actionable insights from our data that inform strategy and measurable actions.
Reporting to the SVP of GTM Operations, you will head the marketing ops function and team. You will collaborate with CMO, Marketing Leadership, GTM ops, and Sales leaders to support Marketing across the globe.
The role has three key responsibilities: Marketing Strategy and Business Analytics, Technology and Process, and Website Management.
Marketing Strategy and Business Analytics:
- Help establish data-driven goals for Marketing that align to the company’s ambitions. Help define key priorities, and allocation of budget/ resourcesÂ
- Monitor, measure, and analyze the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and programs across the entire lifecycle of the funnel.
- Lead efforts to define and implement frameworks for measuring, reporting and analyzing marketing results including business impact of campaigns and tactics.Â
- Partner closely with the other data teams to define business requirements needed for advanced reporting and analytics.
- Develop tracking and reporting methodology, leveraging Google Analytics, SFDC and Marketo to report on performance at the asset and campaign level and across all touch points and channels.Â
- Drive our testing methodology and cadence to ensure that we are constantly in “test and learn” mode;Â
- Keep stakeholders informed on a regular cadence (forecast calls and audience appropriate reports) Â with key insights on performance, efficiency, areas of risks and opportunities.Â
Technology and Process:
- Oversee the Martech stack at Braze, to enable and optimize our demand funnel, programs, channels, and campaigns through best-in-class tech tools by creating, documenting, teaching, and enforcing processes and digital experiences.Â
- Manage technical aspects of key marketing systems (marketing automation, CRM) used to generate, distribute, and report on leads; optimize the technology and build the data processes that fuel the marketing team
- Lead proposals on database, data clean-up efforts, and work cross-functionally to achieve overall business database objectives
- Refine lead scoring, routing waterfall metrics, lead flow process, to ensure lead flow and pull through the funnel and customer lifecycle
- Partner closely with Marketing, Revenue Operations (Salesforce Owners) and the Braze Product Team to ensure that both prospect and customer data hygiene between all systems is maintained.
- Ensure that all marketing functions can leverage data across the MarTech stack confidently
WEBSITE MANAGEMENT:
- Contribute to website development with an effective approach around analytics, SEO optimization, and delivery of quality traffic to the website
- Collaborate with senior members across the organization to build and own the marketing website strategy, ensuring we meet global business strategies. Lead this cross-functional team through a web redesign project.
- Demonstrate how the website is contributing to funnel goals, with a focus on conversion of leads through contact requests and website effectiveness.Â
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience leading and managing teams in analytics and/or operations in a SaaS business
- Proven track record of managing and executing large number of web projects integrated with other channels, involving many stakeholders and agencies, and defined KPIs.
- Understanding of the latest marketing tools and technologies and experience reviewing and vetting tools.
- Deep knowledge of the B2B marketing demand funnel, programs, and metrics that drive revenue with experience reporting on metrics and driving optimizations.Â
- Curiosity about new ways to improve our digital channels productivity, stakeholder engagement efficiency, business process improvement, and user experience ROI.
- Understanding of UX, web design, analytics testing, information architecture, metadata, taxonomy, and their inter-relationships within the website channel.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills to promptly navigate obstacles, resolve issues, and effectively advocate for your team.
- Experience working in a high-growth, high intensity environments
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $162,000 and $210,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $171,000 and $245,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
