The Role

Join the Marketplace Yield Team in this critical role to build pricing models, run analytics, and support deal-making. You will collaborate closely with our Senior Leadership and customer-facing teams (Sales, Account Management, Business Development) to provide insights that drive our sales and pricing strategies.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own and evolve the pricing strategy for adMarketplace across both advertisers and publishers
  • Lead a high-performing team of data analysts to develop models, reports, and insights around performance metrics like campaign delivery, supply availability, conversions, and click-through rates
  • Develop and update rate cards used by our Publisher teams to negotiate strategic partnerships
  • Make data-driven recommendations to business teams to help match advertiser demand with the optimal ad supply available
  • Support sales pitches and negotiations by creating robust scenario models that stress test deal terms
  • Maintain a strong understanding of our ad platform, data sources, and workflows to develop data-driven recommendations that improve team and cross-functional efficiency
  • Promote a culture that values proactive delivery of high-quality insights and continuously improve the organization’s level of expertise and impact on business performance
  • Instill best practices to up-level team’s ability to be strategic business partners who proactively guide their business counterparts with forward-looking insights
  • Oversee our Business Intelligence team

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of digital advertising, pricing, revenue and/or yield management experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in economics , mathematics, statistics, finance or other quantitative field ; or Equivalent related professional experience
  • 4+ years' experience leading analytics teams ideally in a sales-driven environment
  • Deep expertise in building complex user-friendly spreadsheet models tying together multiple inputs from various data sources
  • A leader who can distill down complex problems and work hands-on with your team to solve them
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence and guide senior leadership through storytelling with data
  • Strong interpersonal and talent leadership skills, including identifying and developing high-energy talent in analytics / data science roles
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment collaborating with many internal stakeholders
  • Experienced in SQL, Python, and business intelligence tools (Tableau)

 

Would Be Awesome:

  • Working knowledge of pay-per-click advertising or performance advertising in general
  • Experience in high-growth, startup-like operating environments
  • Well-versed in adtech industry trends and developments

*Compensation Range: $165,000 - $225,000

*This range represents the low and high end of the base salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of adMarketplace in the New York office. Salaries will vary based on various factors including but not limited to professional and academic experience; training; associated responsibilities; and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
