Senior Director of Accounting

We are looking for an experienced Senior Director of Accounting to lead our accounting team. This position will manage all aspects of accounting, tax compliance, payroll, and reporting and consolidation in IFRS for Bungie. Our ideal candidate has strong technical accounting, operational, and internal controls experience working in a high-growth dynamic environment. We value embracing change and building strong cross-functional relationships to drive value for the Finance function. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the accounting close and financial reporting for the subsidiary of a large multinational public company.
• Partner with the Sony Tax team to drive Bungie’s tax strategy and compliance activities.
• Optimize financial controls and manage Bungie’s Sarbanes-Oxley program.
• Provide oversight and drive improvements within Bungie’s payroll processes.
• Document technical accounting and process operational impacts for new transactions.
• Work closely with FP&A to ensure alignment of accounting and planning assumptions.
• Manage Bungie’s treasury activities to meet operational cash flow needs.
• Partner with IT to drive automation of the reporting and accounting processes.
• Provide coaching and support the growth of a team of accounting and payroll professionals.
• Establish effective working relationships with cross-functional leaders to educate them about accounting processes.
• Serve as a leader within Finance to support the enablement of company strategic priorities.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Must have public and private industry experience working in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• Technology and or gaming industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Active CPA license is required.
• Possess strong technical accounting knowledge, including experience working with M&A and international expansion. Knowledge of IFRS is highly desirable.
• Prior experience managing and driving improvements in controls supporting Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Track record of building and optimizing accounting capabilities for a high-growth company.
• Experience leveraging system automation to drive close process efficiency.
• Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills, cultivator of collaborative working relationships with teams across a diverse organization.
• Ability to provide leadership and inspire a team of finance professionals.
