Job Description
DISCO is looking for a creative and collaborative Senior Director of Brand to help us articulate the full value of our company’s brand vision and how we communicate that creatively. This position will report to the CMO.
The Senior Director of Brand will be responsible for defining DISCO’s global brand expression and brand narrative and will drive awareness with innovative owned, earned and paid brand marketing, sales and employee enablement. This role will work cross-functionally to develop and execute on DISCO’s brand vision, messaging and voice across all internal and external audiences.
The ideal candidate will be a passionate, strategic leader with a proven track record of elevating B2B and B2C brands through tight brand messaging, narratives and storytelling. The role will research, synthesize, and evangelize a clear and powerful brand strategy that generates customer engagement, increases brand relevance, empowers employees and grows adoption, retention, and community advocacy. The right leader is deeply customer-focused and data-driven, but is also an out-of-the-box thinker with experience building high-performing teams and driving alignment across the company.
Position expectations:- Oversee the planning, development, and execution of the company’s global brand vision, messaging, and strategy across channels and work across company to drive alignment
- Serve as a passionate advocate for the brand with internal leaders to ensure underlying brand principles and brand value proposition are consistently met and align with customer needs.
- Develop, negotiate and manage a best-in-class network of agency partners that drive growth and budget optimization
- Partner with all enterprise stakeholders to build go-to-market strategies and content that resonate with prospects, partners and users at every point of their engagement with DISCO through visuals, tone, voice, and experience.
- Own brand guidelines and collaborate with the design and copy teams to implement across all communication channels
- Lead and be accountable for the vision, strategy, and results of brand positioning and related campaigns, harmonizing a clear brand message across all channels (online and off)
- Craft an environment and process for brand messaging to come to life, ensuring campaigns and content are on-brand, optimized for experience, third party awareness and engagement, brand sentiment shifts, engagement, and overall sales impact
- Protect the integrity of the brand, while encouraging creative exploration and risk-takingÂ
- Analyze and report on brand Key Performance Indicators to the leadership team
- Experience building and leading an in-house team and agency network
- Demonstrated ability to develop inspiring creative and messaging that achieves performance targets
- Strong business and financial acumen combined with demonstrated analytical skills
- A creative eye and genuine curiosity for innovative opportunities to connect with our customers
- A holistic strategic, brand marketer who appreciates and invests in the entire process, from product development to marketing to driving loyalty
- Experience developing and evolving brand systems
- Ability to collaborate well with others across the organization and drive alignment and thrive in a fast-paced and highly fluid environment
- 8-10 years of proven strategic, brand marketing experience
